RETURN POLICY

Store Credit Only

All approved returns are issued as store credit only. We do not offer refunds to original forms of payment.


Return Window

Returns must be initiated within 14 days of delivery, as confirmed by the carrier tracking.

Returns requested outside of this window are not eligible.


Return Shipping

  • A flat return shipping fee of $8.80 will be deducted from your store credit for approved U.S. returns.
  • No restocking fees are charged.
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

For Canadian returns, customers are responsible for arranging and covering return shipping costs (see International Returns below).


Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for return, items must meet all of the following conditions:

  • Unworn, unused, and unwashed
  • Free of stains, odors, or damage
  • All original tags attached
  • Returned in original packaging
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase (order number and email used at checkout)

We reserve the right to deny returns that do not meet these criteria.


How to Initiate a Return

  • Returns must be approved prior to shipment.
  • Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.
  • If approved, you will receive a prepaid return label (U.S. orders only) and instructions.

International (Canada) Returns

  • Returns must be requested within 14 days of delivery.
  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs and carrier selection.
  • We recommend using a trackable service.

To avoid customs delays or additional fees, packages should be marked:

  • “Returned Merchandise”
  • Declared value of $10 USD or less

1987 is not responsible for duties, taxes, or fees incurred during return transit.


Final Sale Items

Items explicitly marked FINAL SALE are not eligible for return.

This includes:

  • Promotional or discounted items (if marked final sale)
  • Gift with purchase items
  • Gift cards

Damaged or Incorrect Items

Orders should be inspected upon delivery.

If you receive a defective, damaged, or incorrect item, you must contact support@shop1987.com within a reasonable timeframe so we can review and resolve the issue. Supporting photos may be required.


Exchanges

Due to the limited-run nature of our collections, we do not offer exchanges.

If you would like a different item, you may return your order (if eligible) for store credit and place a new order.


Store Credit Issuance

  • Returns are processed after inspection at our facility.
  • Approved returns will be issued as store credit via a digital gift code.
  • Store credit does not expire.

If a return is not approved, the item may be sent back to you at your expense.


Additional Terms

1987 reserves the right to:

  • Refuse returns that do not meet policy requirements
  • Limit or decline returns in cases of suspected abuse, fraud, or excessive return activity
